This beautiful appliqué pattern features the cute koala bear. There are fourteen koalas, tree branches, with 3-D leaves.  The quilt in the photo measures 32" x 41" There is also included a pattern for a continuous line leaf quilting design for the border area. instructions are included for making a placemat (18" x 13").

Manatees, is an appliqué pattern featuring an endangered species. There are fewer than 2500 in the wild and their only enemy is inanimate objects: boat propellers.
In this pattern, there are eight manatees and letters for the word "manatees," some seaweed, and a small fish which emphasizes the large scale of these mammals. They can weigh as much as 3000 pounds and measure 12 feet long.

The pattern includes full sized drawings of a lizard (he is about 7" long x 6" wide), three butterflies (one for a beginner beader), a wren, a dragonfly, and a snail for raw edge machine appliqué and hand beading in the pattern. There are complete instructions for raw edge machine appliqué using a darning foot, crazy quilt block making, five embroidery stitches, and some variations on these stitches to embellish the blocks, two methods of hand beading, machine quilting, binding the quilt, and signing your name freehand on the sewing machine.
Finished quilt size is 27" x 38", but can be made larger.

Crustaceans have some of the great designer shapes.  They all have ten legs and paired antennae and wear their skeletons on the outside. You can really have some fun with the colors.  Lobsters come in bright orange and batik-y greens and browns and blues. Then to fill in some areas with more embellishment cut out some corals, and don't throw away the negative parts of the fabric, which can be used in the border. In this pattern you will find instructions for raw edge and machine appliqué, how to make crazy quilt blocks, four different hand embroidery stitches to get you started, and two different ways to attach glass beads for embellishment.
Finished quilt size is 39" x 29", but can be made larger.

These five cats , are all similar in size to our other cat patterns.  We created it for people who don't want a large project.  The pattern also includes a fish, a barn swallow, and a butterfly. Cats need something to play with.  Gold lamé fabric for the eyes and a fish is included with the pattern. Instructions for a placemat (18" x 13") are included.
Finished quilt size is 30" x 39".

This appliqué pattern features 6 pandas, bamboo, and 3-D leaves. This would make a good beginner pattern because there are not a lot of sharp edges (pandas have rounded body parts).  The sewing can be either raw edge applique (very easy: using a darning foot and straight stitches) or satin stitching.
Finished quilt size is 28" x 37".

This beautiful appliqué pattern features four dragonflies. You can use pearlescent silver thread from Sulky for the lines on the wings. The dragonflies can be made out of bright batiks or vivid colors. Let your imagination run wild, and use beads (not included) to embellish this quilt. The pattern can be used to make placemats measuring 18" x13".
Finished quilt size 22 ½" x 22 ½".
Otters are such playful animals. It seems they have no cares at all. That is what makes them a charming subject for an applique pattern. There are six otters and a fish in this pattern featuring raw edge applique technique.
They are set in a river scene with freehand cut mounds of rocks on the river bed. The water can be embellished with "crystal" (clear iridescent) glass beads and silk ribbon weeds (not included). The bellies and cheeks of the otters are lighter in color which are achieved by scribble stitching in off white thread.
Finished quilt size 31" x 30" with 2 ½" borders.

The Beetles
Squirrels come in a variety of colors: white, black, gray, and rust and combinations of gray and rust with white bellies. You can take the basic squirrel designs and color them like your local squirrels.the pattern includes acorns and oak leaves to embellish the quilt.
The techniques used are satin stitching and raw edge applique, both of which are explained in the instructions. Raw edge technique was used to draw the fluffiness for the tails. If your local squirrels have tufts on their ears, you can use raw edge to draw the tufts. Iridescent glass beads (not included) can be used for the eyes. The layout is up to you. Instructions are included for making a placemat (18" x 13").
Finished quilt size 29" x 22".

This appliqué pattern does not feature the rock band or a funny-looking car, but it does include nine beetles, everything from the cutest ladybug to the scariest rhinoceros beetle. With beetles, the colors you can use are limitless, and it opens up a whole new world of fabric possibilities to imitate the wing cover textures (lamé, UltraSuede®, leather, etc.!) This pattern would also be perfect for embellishing children's clothing, especially on t-shirts or sweatshirts! Nine larger-than-life bugs which are great design ideas which you could embellish with metallic fabrics, and or beads. Also included are instructions for a placemat (18" x 13").
